Come Saturday afternoons from 1.30pm a dedicated group of tennis players meet on the KTSC tennis courts to play social tennis. Somehow the bad weather comes and goes without seriously effecting this happy band of tennis players, it is like the Bermuda triangle of a Wellington weather haven. Wind – no problem, rain – no problem, sun in your eyes – no problem, tennis – gauranteed (but no money involved, please).
Balls are provided and play is organised by someone from the Senior tennis community. The games carry on for about 30mins before people are re-paired to play on until about 3.30-4pm. Finishing sometimes with a congenial drink in the lounge upstairs.
Thump Sport is on-hand to supply technical expertise and if you are considering purchasing a new racquet, this is a great time to try their large selection available on-site. Trans Tasman Tennis can be called in for a coaching session.
On the off-chance that the weather is a little dodgy, phone Thump Sport on 891 0176 for a court update.
