We’re proud to introduce this year’s Premier 1 Men’s Tennis Team — a talented group bringing skill, energy, and a genuine passion for representing Khandallah both on and off the court!

Declan Bartlett
I started playing tennis at KTSC when I was five—Dad (Suri Bartlett) used to take me down to the courts, and I was hooked pretty quickly. I represented the club through juniors and was lucky to learn from some great coaches early on, especially Simon O’Leary and David Rutherford, who helped shape my game.
I was also lucky enough to coach at Evolve in my final year at school! I loved giving back and had a lot of fun coaching - big thanks to Susan for my first job 😀
After heading off to uni, I took a bit of a break from the club, but came back in 2022 when I saw the awesome culture that Matt Gibbons, Jack Warner, and Tom Morley had built. It felt like the perfect time to return. Since then, I’ve loved being part of the interclub team and representing KTSC. The community here is unreal—supportive, competitive, and just a great bunch of people to be around.

Dom Miller
Hi, I’m Dom. Last year was my first with the club, and I’ve absolutely loved being part of its community and team. I’ve played Premier 1 Interclub for most of the past 15 years, and I also spent four years in California playing for Sacramento State on a tennis scholarship. I’m really excited about what the team has to offer this season – we’re building something special and getting stronger every year!

Milo Benn
I'm really excited to be coming home to play for the club that started me in tennis just under about 15 years ago! I grew up in Khandallah playing for KTSC for many years before moving to the United States on a tennis scholarship at the University of Montana in 2018. From then until about five months ago, I lived and worked in the US - playing NCAA Division 1 college tennis for four years (I even played against my fellow KTSC teammate Dom Miller while I was over there - small world!) and continuing to play outside work.
Since graduating, I moved to San Diego and lived there for almost three years, where my younger brother Satchel also lives now (another college tennis player and good hitting partner...).
It's pretty cool to come back to New Zealand after so many years abroad to reconnect and play on the same interclub team as guys I grew up playing with, as well as meeting some new faces too. Not to jinx it, but I think we have a bloody good team this year and should be competing for the Premier 1 title - so come out and support us when you can! Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Matt Gibbons
My name is Matt Gibbons, I am 35 and I started playing tennis when I was 5 at the Lower Hutt Tennis Club. As a junior I represented Wellington on a few occasions, often playing alongside Khandallah's own Finn Tearney. I have played interclub for Lower Hutt, Wainuiomata and now Khandallah, joining the club in 2022. I love playing competitive tennis and as a Khandallah local, I love being involved in the club community.

Dan Wilkinson
Hi everyone! My name is Dan Wilkinson, and I have been playing interclub at Khandallah since 2013. I first picked up a racket in Florida when I was only seven years old, and I’ve loved the game ever since — it’s such a fun way to keep fit and fuel my competitive side.
Being a part of KTSC has also been very special. The people, the culture, and the atmosphere make it such a great club to belong to. Off the court, you’ll usually find me at the gym, catching up with friends, reading a good book, or spending time with my fiancée. I’m also a big ATP fan, so I’m always keen to chat about what’s happening on tour!
This season I’m excited to be playing for and supporting our Premier 1 team, and it’d be awesome to see plenty of you courtside for our home games cheering us on. Let’s go Khandallah!

We’re excited to see what this group will achieve in 2025/26. Premier Interclub kicks off on Saturday 11 October. Matches take place every Saturday from 1pm, with a mix of home and away fixtures. When they’re playing at home, come down to the Club, cheer them on, and be part of the action!
Beyond competition, these players are keen to get involved in club life. You may have spotted them at Love Tennis and we look forward to having them join in on the odd Club Day, Junior Club Night and taking part in other events throughout the season. They’re not just representing KTSC on court — they’re actively helping to strengthen the wider club community too.
